The intensity and power, the majesty, an ocean is beautiful and horrifying in concept, a representation of the power of nature to mystify and then swallow you whole, I walk straight into this ocean and it does what it will.

I'm going to just focus on one track here - the "sidelong" Rare Rufescent. Listening to it with in FLAC format with a good pair of headphones, Haker-Flaten's bass just POPS out at you before the other musicians slowly blend into the picture. It's not only a brilliant recording but it's brilliantly recorded! Three musicians at the top of their game exploring and creating without a net! (that goes for the whole album!
